HARS is open to all eligible students who achieve good results academically, and to those who have made significant progress in terms of their own distance travelled academically whilst studying at BCU. It is a scheme which rewards both effort and achievement.
HARS provides enrichment opportunities across four tracks:
Personal and Professional development, Advanced Academic Success, Voluntary and Community Opportunities and Internationalisation
Students will also have dedicated support from the HARS Careers Consultant at BCU. To book an appointment go to the Introductory careers page.
Students can be referred into the scheme by nomination from programme level, or by self-nomination or recommendation.
Students accessing this scheme will tailor their own journeys through the scheme during their studies and will access any available opportunity provided by the scheme, through attendance at courses, seminars, events and workshops. All of our events and opportunities are offered free of charge to eligible students.
The scheme also works in partnership with Graduate+, the Library and the Personal Development Department
The scheme is managed by the Academic Lead for HARS, Juliette Gaunt.
We have a facebook page and a twitter account @HARSbcu
